1) What question does Erik pose to the audience?   

The question that Erik asks at the beginning of the TED talk was, "what is photography?".

Erik's first, real passion was drawing.

He originally thought that anyone could be good at photography. He thought that all it took was luck to get a really good photo. 


4) How did this inspire him?   

This inspired him to try it for himself, as he wanted to be different than everyone else.



5) What “common goal” do Erik’s photos have?    

 He wants to take separate pictures and put them together so that when people look at them they question why it looks so realistic. 


6) Define realism as used in this context.   

Realism, in this context means, taking unrealistic things and tricking the mind into believing they are real.



7) What principles does he adhere to when creating an image?   

The principles he adheres to when creating an image is color match, depth perception, and same lighting so the photos meld together. 

8) Why is it easier to create a place rather than to find a place?   

It is easier to create a place than find a place because that way you don't have to compromise with the what you have thought of in your head. 

9) How does he plan the photos?   

He spends months trying to figure out places to go before actually traveling there to take the photos. He plans his locations to find what works best for his image.

10) What is his conclusion?   

His conclusion is that the only thing that limits us is our imagination.
